“You can’t live at all, unless you can live fully now.” – Alan Watts
Living fully in the present moment has become a lost art.
Today’s modern society trains and conditions us to live in the future. From early childhood we are constantly striving for some future goal, at school, at college, at work, in business. And when we reach our goals we are already looking ahead to the next rung in the ladder. We can never really enjoy our achievements because we are always thinking of the next thing.
This way of living creates so much stress and unhappiness in society. It is only when we are able to live fully in this moment now that we can find true happiness and contentment.
